Move stock from the warehouse to DTC

Physical stock stays in WMS until a committed DTC allocation is transferred. Medusa then owns the sellable and reserved commerce quantity.

How it works

  1. 1Receive and count the units in WMS Admin.
  2. 2Place them in the correct physical location or Location Pending.
  3. 3Confirm the units are not damaged, on hold or already reserved for another purpose.

  1. 1Create the approved DTC allocation from the WMS workflow.
  2. 2Do not manually copy a WMS quantity into DTC Manager or Medusa.
  3. 3The committed transfer reduces WMS ownership and creates the signed delivery event.

  1. 1In DTC Manager → Operations, confirm the allocation was received and delivered to Medusa.
  2. 2In Medusa Admin → Inventory, confirm the available-to-sell level changed once.
  3. 3If the values disagree, stop selling the affected item and reconcile the exact transfer ID. Do not add a compensating manual edit without evidence.
